Billing
Billing status: launching shortly. Verity Train is onboarding its first customers while the payment portal finishes its final checks. Early customers train now and are never billed retroactively for the onboarding period — your paid year starts when online billing opens for your account. This page describes exactly what billing will look like so there are no surprises when it does.
The price, in one sentence
$8 per employee per year — every state course we offer, every feature, unlimited re-runs within your cycle. No per-course fees, no setup fees, no minimums, no quote process.
Volume tiers apply automatically
| Active roster size | Per employee / year | What changes |
|---|---|---|
| 1–99 employees | $8 | The base rate. Everything included. |
| 100–499 employees | $6 | Same product; bulk roster import and priority support included. |
| 500+ employees | $5 | Same product; dedicated onboarding session and invoice billing included. |
The tier is computed from your active roster — nobody has to ask for it, and nobody has to renegotiate when you cross a boundary in either direction. Grow past 100 and the rate drops on the next renewal; shrink below it and the price moves the other way at renewal, not mid-term.
How seats are counted
- Active employees with access to training count; departed employees don't. Marking someone departed keeps their certificates and audit rows (you need those for retention windows) while releasing their seat.
- A seat covers a person, not a course. An employee in the 12th month of a New York cycle and an employee in the 20th month of a California cycle cost the same $8, and their annual re-runs cost nothing extra.
- Supervisors cost the same as employees. The 2-dollar-an-hour difference between a 1-hour and 2-hour course is our problem, not yours.
When payment goes live
- Cards and invoices go through the billing page inside the app; the 500+ tier can opt for invoicing instead of card payment.
- Renewals are annual, matching the compliance cycle this product exists for — the longest statutory clock in the live states (California's) is two years, and your account covers every re-run within your paid term.
- Before your first charge, the app shows the seat count and rate it computed — the same math as the table above, visible before any card is touched.
